You can register in advance for SC'96 either of these ways:
Carefully review the instructions and form before you respond. Credit card information must accompany WWW registrations. This information will be verified, and you will receive an electronic registration confirmation. A hardcopy confirmation will follow by mail. Please bring this confirmation to the conference; you must present it to receive your registration materials.
To qualify for advance registration discounts, your registration form must be postmarked, faxed, or submitted from the WWW by Friday, October 25, 1996. Registration postmarked, faxed or submitted from the WWW October 12-25 will be charged as late registrations; those postmarked, faxed or submitted from the WWW after October 25 will not be acknowledged and must be resubmitted for onsite processing at SC'96.
Do not send your registration form to the SC'96 Registration Chair; it will delay processing your registration.
If you register in advance, you may pick up your conference materials at the David Lawrence Convention Center beginning Saturday, November 16 (see registration schedule below).
You may register for SC'96 on site registrants, but you will be required to pay a late registration fee. We will accept credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, Amercian Express, Diners Club), traveler's checks, company and personal checks, cash, and purchase orders (from U.S. Government offices only; original purchase order must be presented on site). Wire transfers will not be accepted at on-site registration.
A special Tutorials Passport for one or two days is available. A one-day passport (either Sunday or Monday) entitles you to attend any or all tutorials offered on that day, a tutorial luncheon and your selection of notes for either day. In addition to lunch both days, a two-day passport gives you approximately a 20% discount on the price of two one-day passports. For either passport, your selection of tutorial notes must be specified on the registration form.
An additional benefit of the Tutorials Passport is that you can purchase additional course notes at a much reduced rate from that charged to those who did not attend the tutorials.
Seating at the tutorials, with proper confirmation, is on a first-come, first-served basis. You may sit in on as many tutorials as you like for the day(s) you are registered, but you will receive only the notes associated with the tutorials for which you explicitly enroll. You must bring your badge to the tutorial classroom to receive your tutorial notes.
Exhibits only passes ($40) allow entrance to the exhibit floor for three days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Exhibits Only passes will go on sale Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.
SC'96 is offering Exhibits Only passes to children 12-16; they must purchase an Exhibits Only badge for $40. Childrenmust be accompanied by an adult at all times; children under age 12 are not permitted on the exhibit floor at any time.
To qualify for member discounts, include your current ACM, ACM SIGARCH, IEEE, or IEEE Computer Society membership number(s). To qualify for a student discount, provide a copy of your valid full-time student identification card with your registration form.
International attendees can register in advance and pay by wire transfer for an additional processing fee of $25. Wire transfers must be received by October 25 and will not be accepted at on-site registration.
