Presented at

November 16, 1996

Where do you go to find curricular materials on the Web for mathematics and science? How can you publish your own materials? This presentation will answer your questions as we explore math and science lessons and resources on the World Wide Web.

We will describe GirlTECH '96, a program of the Center for Research on Parallel Computation (CRPC) that incorporates the Internet as a teaching and learning tool. Special emphasis will be given to creating lesson plans that use Internet materials as resou rces to teach mathematics and science concepts in new and exciting ways. After a demonstration of HTML, it will show how to publicize and register your lessons.

During the lab session, you will put into practice what you have learned and create a lesson for possible publication on the web.

These materials were developed through GirlTECH, a teacher training and student technology council program sponsored by the Center for Research on Parallel Computation (CRPC), a National Science Foundation Science and Technology Center.
