SCinet '96 Network Offerings

Exhibitor Booths

Network requests for the Exhibitor Booths are due by August 15, 1996. Technical contacts for the booth should provide the following information:

Number and type of each connection
Number of IP addresses (host names) associated with each connection.
Preferred day and time for turning on the network connection.
Technical network contact prior to the show and technical network contact during the show.
End points for interbooth network connections must be specified.

Payment for the network connections will be done through IEEE. Payment must be made by October 31, 1996 otherwise a $1,000 fee per connection will be incurred. Verification of payment will be required prior to turning on the network connections at the show.

On-site requests for connection will be handled on a best-effort basis and will incur a $1,000 penalty per connection.

Research Booths

Research Booths are required to submit their network connections requests and requests with their Research booth proposal, which is due on August 1, 1996. Final requests from accepted proposals must be received by September 15, 1996. The first two connections (Ethernet, plus one other) will be free for each research booth. Additional connections will follow the pricing schedule. Late fees still apply for research booths. Booth Proposals should include the following information:

Number and type of network connections
Number of IP address/host names for each connection.
Technical network contract, prior to the conference and at the conference.
End points for inter-booth connections.

Accepted proposals will also receive a confirmation of their network connections. Payment for the network connections will be done through IEEE. Payment must be made by October 31, 1996 otherwise a $1,000 fee per connection will be incurred. Verification of payment will be required prior to turning on the network connections at the show.

Network Request Form

Submission of network requests should be done in the following format. Please include all booth information including a technical contact. This form must be submitted to SCinet using one of the following methods:

WWW Submission: http://www.pgh.supercomp.org/. This is the preferred method.

SCinet will review and confirm the availability of the requested connections. Payment can then be made to IEEE. Questions should be sent to scinet-info@pgh.supercomp.org
