Saint Agnes Academy is a day school for girls in grades 9-12 founded in 1906 and owned by the Dominican Sisters. Saint Agnes has received national acclaim for its commitment to academic excellence. In 1983-84 and again in 1989-90, it was recognized as an Exemplary School by the U.S. Department of Education's Council on Private Education. Saint Agnes Principal Sr. Jane Meyer was named one of five outstanding secondary educators in 1985 by the National Catholic Education Association. The NCEA recognized the Academy Board of Directors for significant contributions in 1990. The College Board Southwestern Region has recognized Saint Agnes for outstanding contributions to instructional excellence through its Advanced Placement program.

The mission of Saint Agnes Academy is to provide a demanding college preparatory education in an environment imbued with the values and principles of the Catholic Faith. As a Catholic educational community, Saint Agnes strives to develop and cultivate in each student intellectual competence and curiosity; responsibility and self esteem; commitment to others through service; leadership and action on behalf of social justice; and a deepened spirtuality.
