The
new David
L. Lawrence
Convention
Center was
completed
in September
2003 and
brings an
elegant,
remarkably
practical,
and environmentally
friendly
structure
to Pittsburgh’s
riverfront.
The facility
is the first
certified
and largest
‘green’
convention
center in
the U.S.
It holds
a Gold LEED
Rating from
the U.S.
Green Building
Council
and contains
such features
as natural
ventilation,
natural
day lighting,
water conservation
and energy
efficiency.

First
Aid and
Emergency
Help
The First
Aid Room
is located
behind Hall
B in the
concession
stand area
by the loading
dock corridor.
For emergencies
in the convention
center,
contact
security
officer
on duty.
Wheelchair
Accessibility
The convention
center has
10 wheelchairs
for general
use by attendees.
Wheelchairs
can not
be reserved
for full-time
use, but
will be
distributed
on a day-to-day
basis on
a first
come, first
served basis,
unless an
emergency
situation
arises.
To receive
a wheelchair,
ask a security
guard in
the lobby.
Attendees
must submit
their driver’s
license
to obtain
a wheelchair
for the
day; the
license
will be
returned
when the
attendee
relinquishes
the wheelchair.
