NEW HOTEL RESERVATIONS

For a new hotel reservation, please contact the participating SC2004 hotels directly, and mention that you are with the SC2004 Conference when making the reservation. A hotel MAY honor the conference group rate based on availability. For information about the participating SC2004 downtown Pittsburgh, Green Tree, and Oakland hotels, click here. There are a limited number of hotel rooms available through the Greater Pittsburgh Convention & Visitors Bureau (GPCVB) Housing Bureau. To make your reservation request click here. Please remember you must enter your entire length of stay for date search. The Housing Bureau will be unable to combine your individual reservations at different hotels into one stay at one hotel.

EXISTING HOTEL RESERVATIONS

You may continue to make changes to reservations through GPCVB’s Housing Bureau. This can be done via the on-line reservation system at www.sc-conference.org. Then click on the Hotel Info tab for further instructions. Modifications and cancellations via email (housing@gpcvb.org) or fax (412-644-5512) are also accepted.

On or before October 22, 2004, any changes to an existing hotel reservation should be made through the Housing Bureau. Do not contact the hotels directly to make, change, or cancel your housing reservations until after October 22, 2004.

Please note that there is very limited hotel availability during SC2004, and your hotel may not be able to accommodate requests to extend the length of stay or change arrival dates.

Guarantees and Cancellations

Guaranteed reservations are typically held until 6:00 am the following morning, at which time the reservation and deposit are forfeited and a “no show” charge may be applied (at the discretion of the individual hotels). However, each hotel has its own guarantee policy, so if you are going to arrive after midnight, it is important to make note in your reservation online or email the housing@gpcvb.org to make the notation. After November 1, 2004, please notify the hotel of your planned late arrival to ensure your reservation and avoid any “no show” or cancellation fee.

Reservations cancelled AT ANY TIME guaranteed with a check or money order will be charged a $25 cancellation/processing fee.

Cancellations made after October 4, 2004 will be charged a $25 cancellation/processing fee (for reservations paid by credit card).

You must cancel your reservation at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date DIRECTLY WITH YOUR HOTEL or you will be charged the first night’s room and tax by the assigned hotel. If you cancel a room, keep your cancellation acknowledgement number. This is your proof of cancellation should there be a dispute about billing.

HOTEL LOCATIONS, DESCRIPTIONS AND TRANSPORTATION

The conference hotels are located in downtown Pittsburgh and nearby Green Tree and Oakland. Conference busing will be provided this year to all conference hotels except the Westin Convention Center Hotel and Courtyard by Marriott Pittsburgh.
