HOTEL LOCATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION
The conference hotels are located in the downtown, midtown
and airport areas of Phoenix. Conference busing will be provided
this year to all conference hotels except for the Hyatt Regency,
Wyndham Phoenix (formerly Crowne Plaza) and the Ramada Inn
as they are within walking distance of the convention center.
See Housing Map and Hotel Amenities Chart for details. Bus
service is provided at no cost to attendees and will run every
15-20 minutes during the following times:
Saturday, Nov. 15: Noon to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 16: 7:15 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.
Monday, Nov. 17: 7:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 20: 7:15 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.

Airport transportation. Phoenix Sky
Harbor airport is a short (10-15 minute) drive from downtown.
The airport offers a list of transportation services on its
Web site http://www.ci.phoenix.az.us/AVIATION/park_trans/taxi.html).
Car rental services are available at the airport and most
hotels. Check with your hotel for the specific car rental
service on their property. Super Shuttle provides transportation
services to and from the Phoenix airport twenty-four hours
a day. Their rate is currently $7 one-way. If you wish to
use Super Shuttle for your return trip (hotel to the airport),
please call 1.800.BLUEVAN (1.800.258.3826). Taxi service and
private town car services are approximately $10-$60 plus tip
(limo gratuities are 17%), one-way from the Phoenix airport
to the Conference Hotels (approx. 15 minutes depending on
traffic and route). Ask the drivers or check the service desks
(not all services have a desk) in the baggage claim area at
the airport for specific rates.
Some Phoenix hotels offer complimentary airport
shuttle service. Check the transportation kiosk in the baggage
claim area at the airport for your specific hotel. These kiosks
have phones to connect you directly to your hotel and inquire
about shuttle service.
Once you arrive downtown, consider another
mode of transportation available in the Copper Square area
(around the convention center) - Human-Powered Transportation.
There are several companies that offer this fun pedicab service
where passengers ride in an open carriage pulled by a person
riding a bicycle. It is environmentally friendly, the drivers
know the city very well and are fun to talk to. Many of these
drivers work only from tips, so appreciation and generosity
is greatly encouraged. They are happy to provide transportation
from the hotels to various restaurants and sites as well as
to and from the convention center. Some will even go as far
as the midtown and airport hotels, but they charge a substantial
fees for that distance. Average distance served is about one
mile. Check out this unique aspect of Phoenix!
