Advance Registration Deadline for SC2002 is Friday, Oct. 11
Last chance for attendees to benefit from lower rates

BALTIMORE, October 3, 2002 Potential attendees of SC2002, the annual high
performance networking and computing conference, have until 5 pm EDT Friday, Oct. 11 to register at a significantly lower rate. This year's conference, which already has the strongest advance registration ever, will convene Nov. 16-22 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

To qualify for the advance registration discount, a registration form and payment must be received by 5 p.m. EDT, Friday, Oct. 11. Registrations received between Oct. 12 and Oct. 25 will be charged at the late/on-site registration rate; those received after 5 p.m. EDT, Friday, Oct. 25, may not be acknowledged and must be resubmitted for processing at SC2002. The upcoming conference promises the most wide-ranging, vibrant program ever offered. Rita Colwell, director of the National Science Foundation, will present the keynote address, and visionaries and well-known leaders will speak on the state of the field. Experts will participate in lively panel discussions, including two sessions on the use of information technology for homeland security. Several awards will be presented, including the High Performance Bandwidth Challenge, sponsored by Qwest.

SC2002, the annual high performance networking and computing conference, brings together scientists, engineers, educators, visualization artists, programmers, and business leaders to share ideas and glimpse the future of high performance networking and computing, data analysis and management, visualization, and computational modeling. SC2002 is sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society and by the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer Architecture.
