THE SUPERCOMPUTING CONFERENCES ORGANIZATION
is a voluntary consortium of persons acting together to advance the science and application of high-performance computing technology through the offering of technical meetings and in particular, through the offering of, The Supercomputing Conference (SC), the annual conference on high-performance computing and communications, at which all aspects of supercomputing can be considered.

The conferences succeeded because of the individuals from many organizations volunteering their efforts.

The conference series is sponsored by:

The conferences were initiated with the cooperation of the following organizations:

  • Argonne National Laboratory (ANL)
  • Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL)
  • Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)
  • National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)
  • National Science Foundation Supercomputer Centers (NSF Centers)
  • NASA-Ames Research Center ( NASA-ARC)
  • Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM)
  • Supercomputing Research Center (SRC),
[now Center for Computing Sciences (CCS)]
